Exhaust Question

Hey Guys,
So I'm thinking about upgrading to the Magnaflow, Single in dual out on my 99 and was wondering what the drone is like in the cab. I had a 4.3 L with a flowmaster on my last truck it as was super annoying in the cab. I want something that has a nice rumble to it but, is not annoying in the cab.
I never realized that single in dual out would be so expensive either. Almost $1000 here in Canada, Installed from the Cat Back.
I looked around on the net and there is lots of bad ass videos of outside the truck but nothing inside. Any inside/insight would be greatly appreciated. I'd hate to shell out that kind of coin just to be annoyed....
Let me know your thoughts and if anybody has an in cab video of the exhaust let me know.

I just got the Magnaflow single in dual out system installed this past week on my 2000 Z71... The sound is great... Nice rumble and tone and the noise in the cab is almost undetectable...I think you will be happy with it.. In the U.S. I paid only about $500 for the system...

I also have the Magnaflow in my 04 short bed. Its just the cat back single in dual out and I beleive the sound is great. Its got a nice deep tone when there is a load on the motor but when there is little to no load on the motor its almost unnoticeable. I went with magnaflow not only cause it is stainless steel inside and out but because I want a nice deep rumble but not to the point where it is unbearable. My pipes come out the sides in the back so when the windows are down its a little more noticeable but if you go straight out the back I would imagine it wouldn't be that noticeable. There is cab noise but mostly when cruising on the highway at a higher rpm but again, its nothing that gets annoying and is completely bearable. A buddy of mine put the same system on a similar truck as mine but went with flowmaster and staright out the back. In my opinion, it is louder but its more of an abnoxious noise and is much much more noticeable in the cab. Good luck. Oh yea, I paid $550 here in MA.

Just another reason why I never will recommend or own anything Flowmaster.
My Borla was pretty quiet and did drone sometimes, but only at certain speeds and it wasn't loud in the sense that Flow is loud.
Can't comment on Magna, but they make a quality product.

Flowmasters drone like hell anyway you look at it. I'd dump it after the rear axle for a clean look and that would keep the interior resonance to a min.

I like them so much....I'm running two of them. :grinyes: I just can't believe how out of hand catback prices are. My entire custom dual magnaflow with cutouts from the headers back didn't cost near that much to build. I guess all of the companies are really proud of their bends.

Yeah if I had access to all the right tools I could do it myself. Of course it looks like some of those cat back kits are bolt on aside from having to weld new hangers for a new dual exhaust it doesn't look all that bad....
I guess the need will have to out weigh the want before I go ahead on this one.
Thanks for all you Input fellas.
