I have replaced fuel pump 1 a year for last 3 years. What could be making it go bad? Help?

Welcome to AF.
More info always helps.
What year and what engine?
Some of the main reasons are.
Running tank low on fuel.
Bad wiring to pump.
Cheap replacement pumps.
Bad or dirty fuel.
Clogged fuel filters.

wiring, poor ground connections, etc. take a close look at the connector, , clean you ground wire connection, and verify through visual inspection/voltmemter that all other wiring leading to the back to the tank is tight and clean.

Constantly running around with less than a 1/4 tank of gas will cause the fuel pump to overheat and fail prematurely. Running it all the way down to empty before filling up is not good either.
