hey guys im new to the whole subaru world, and have been reading alot about the wrx. i have seen alot of posts about problems with clutch shudder and bad transmissions. what i would like to know is have
these problems been resolved through subaru yet in the newer models.
from what ive saw most of these problems were in the earlier cars when it 1st came out. im really considering getting a wrx but these problems have made me skeptical.well anyways any help would be appreciated.

I hear from the MY03 wrx has a new flywheel design and the clutch master cylinder has a control valve assembly. Its a restricter valve basically, which only allows the clutch to engage at a certian pressure, no more than 6000 rpm from what I heard.

So if you do drop @ 6k the clutch will wear itself it rather putting the load on the tranny.

thks for reply tsui, so a control valve assembly? so no other new improvements? so what does this mean just delaying the initial problems
for a few more miles?
