Where should i run my power from my battery to my amp through the firewall? I can't find a good place to run in the firewall.

what i did to my 87 s10 was i ran it on the right side of my engine compartment drilled a hole for the wire down low through my firewall under the carpet ran it under the carpet tell i got to the side pannels in the back then i ran it through the side pannel then i drilled a hole in the pannel and had the wires come out right there and mounted my amp ontop of the hole. its quick and easy to run.

Why not just find a live empty terminal in the fuse box and put a spade terminal on your wire and plug it in...that way you don't have to drill anyholes....of course i donno what kinda power you need to run your amp though... but that is what i did i'm only runing a 600 watt 2 channel amp tho

dont really know about an '88 but in my '95 i just cut a hole in the rubber gromet that the antenna wire goes through, and ran my amp wire through that also, then under carpet to back on the jimmy....
and im pretty sure an '88 would have antenna wire going through firewall also :P
DO NOT run it from the fuze box if the amp is going to be more than 60watt's the wires that go to the fuze box are exrememly thin, and the risk of a fire is extremly high if you do this...wilsons10 try running your amp for 20mins then feeling the wire harness on the inside of your fuze panel....guarantee it wont pleasent...i know theis personally, as i have a spotlight on my jimmy and i just popped the wire into the fuzebox and when im rabbit hunting at night and the spotlight is on for an hour or so the wires almost feel mushy...and the spotlight is only 100w
