1995 1500 Sierra

I recently bought a 1995 Sierra that came from California, lived its whole life in the desert. I was wondering if it would be worth my money to have the CA emissions stuff taken off? I know its all on there and that they use a different blend of gas, I think. Just wondering if this is something that should be done? Also the truck is now in Ohio.
