can i do this

ok this is what i am thinking of doing for my power.
i already got the biggest ho alternator and i went to a professinal to see how i can get a another alt put on and the only way is to get rid of the a/c and that is not a option because i live in florida. i could fit a 20-50 amp alternator where my power steering is but only 20-50 amps is not worth not having power steering.
so this is what i want to do.

my bad on the size.

I am assuming you meant 16 volt stEp up, not set up.
I don't think your drawing is the way it works, I think you would have to use two regulators, or regulate at maybe 18 volts or so and find a way to cut it down for the starter battery. Kinetic has a battery that has two + poles, one for 16V and one for 12V.

overall how much difference will 16 volts be to 12 i firgured it was not drawn right but it was mostly to show atleast what i wanted to try to do. also KINETIC does not say if their batteries are deep cycle or not. also even with that battery wouldn't i still need 16 volts to charge it.

how much difference depends GREATLY on the amp ..... some amps are very loosely regulated and can pretty much double real output power at 16V or so, some are very tightly regulated and it won't make a difference - it will be the same power from 11-16V. Most amps probably fall somewhere between these extrmes.
Kinetiks are NOT deep cycle batteries, they are more like humogous stiffening caps. Yes, simple laws of physics - the charging voltage MUST be higher than the float voltage of the battery. So a 12V battery floats at like 12.5V and the charging voltage must be at least 13V, more like 14.5V+ if the battery is badly discharged. A 16V battery will have to be charged at probably 18V or higher. I am not sure why you really wanna do this, or maybe you are just thinking of ways to up the output.

you are right about the second part with more ways to up the power cause i really don't want to lose my a/c ok so that basically knocks that off the table with the 18v's needing to charge it.

as you guys have figured out with the "amp checker" routine where you multiply the amps fuse rating by the suply voltage, there is no free lunch. To produce a lot of amp output power, you have to have a lot of power supplied by your electrical system. Some amps like class D amps are more efficient so can be a better choice if power supply is a problem. Another way to get more output is enclosures that are more efficient. A bandpass can be VERY efficient in it's pass band if built correctly.
Its a good thing we are airing out these questions, cuz I can gaurantee you for every one pesron that asks there are like 20 or whatever that want to know the same stuff.

is there any software or something like that. that i can learn how to build a bandpass correctly

Also look into horn enclosures.
