How to destroy a metro

Hi All,

My old 95 is done. At least I think it is. I am posting these photos in the hopes that someone can make a comment on whether there is any hope that I can replace the RR control arm mount. I know nothing about welding, and it seems like a shame to throw a car away cause of this.

And the underside to give a little more perspective as to how bad it is.

The results of the collapsing metal are: toe on the tire is out badly. The tire is pulling away at the front of the tire. Is that toe out?

Tire is wearing quickly on the inside tread. It's down to the steel.

The control rod is bushing is totally gone, allowing for a lot of play for the tire to move in or out (toe).

And I have had to get at least 2 used hubs on the right and 1 on the left because they are wearing out due to the pull of the RR tire.

And just for fun, this is what my gas tank looks like. All from taking my car down a logging road three years ago. I guess I can say I have done well that it got along this long with so much damage.
