My friend's birthday is coming up, and I was thinking of getting him a new helmet (his ex gf stole it before he broke up with her).
And since I have no knowledge, whatsoever, on motorbikes and the like, I was wondering what brands are considered to be decent and stuff.
Links to some sites or something would be great, too.

What kind of lid? Full face, half, etc?
How much do you intend to spend?
Would help narrow the choices...

how about a gift voucher for one. considering that you really need to try it on first. each brand is a different shape and sizes can differ slightly.
my apprentice got sized up on a large Arai at one store but couldn't comfortably get his glasses on. another store had a medium HJC which fit him much better.
i know i'd prefer to choose my own style and design.

I buy my gear from www.ridegear.com (http://www.ridegear.com) also, but determining what type of helmet requires some kind of budget. They have the price of helmets ranging from $60 to $600+ for a single helmet! :crying:

I would also suggest you give him a gift card, you really need to try helmets on first before you buy them, kind of like buying jeans, size can vary depending on the manufacturer.
