96 vent door problem

i have a 1996 cutlass supreme 3.1. this winter i was in a accident which damaged the drivers side fender and wheel. since then my vent doors wont switch and they are stuck on defrost. any ideas on what i may have damaged?

There is a vacuum ball inside the ft of the lt ft fender with a vacuum hose that feeds the heater control unit, it is broken or the line is cut/disconnected.
