It is true that if you run your car with 18" rims this will slow down your 0-60, 0-100, and your 1/4 mi.? Doesn't the grip of the super sticky tires help out at all? Also, if anyone knows of some real lightweight 17"s & 18"s, cause my local shops carry heavy-ass rims that weight 19lbs.+!!!!:anger:

19lbs. for an 18" wheel is not a bad weight. The reason people say that larger wheels will slow your car down is because most of them are very heavy which will slow the car down. But, anythng under 21lbs. is considered reasonably light

Wow really? Hmm...well do you have any suggestions because the 19lbs. rims were 17" and I am looking for 17"-18" rims that are light. I can't stress it enough, not to sound bashing at all, but I am very concerned about how much slower we are talking about from 17" light rims to 18" light rims. Please help me out, I am kinda not good in this area of cars.
