oil light

ok if its not one thing its something else,this morn i got up for work and it was a little cool outside,so i get in the 240 and start to drive and i notice the oil light is on, so i turned around to go back home but by the time I got back home the light was off and the car was wormed up. DOes N E one know what the hell that was all about.FYI Its a ka24de motor,:banghead:

oil light usualy means somethings up with your oil pressure/oil pump.

only happened once? or is it frequently

could the oil pump be cloged up.the motor has ben tappin very bad,does this have NE thing to do with it.

i would recommend putting a new oil pump/ pick up on it...this will either

A) solve both your problems or...
B) be a good insurance of not having to worry about it being the problem

oil light means less than 1kgf/cm of pressure.


if its on when your car is cold there are severe problems, normally it will be around 4-5kgf at idle when cold


run 4.5 quarts.
use 10-30w if you daily it.
