The power drivers seat in my 2002 grand am GT suddenly stopped working. I can hear the power when I hit the switch, but nothing happens. Any suggestions on how I could fix it?

Welcome to AF.
You could have some thing under the seat keeping it from moving and you can burn up the motor(s) trying to make it move.
You'll need to inspect under it to find out whats not working and why.

Thiers 2-3 plugins under there.
But most likely since their is not any room under the seat you will need to take the seat off. Either a motor is jambed or bad.
But certainly look at the fuses for the power seats first !!
Thiers also a circut breaker in the drivers side fuse box that could be bad :dunno:

Appreciate your help, i'm totally ignorant girl ( i know it the name is nellyboy, it's for my son) Where are the fuses located, ....if you don't mind helping., I'll look at those. I will check to see if any of the plugs under the seat are unplugged. I love to work on this kind of stuff, but I am just beginning the learning process. Many thanks again for your help

Not sure if thier are fuses but I know for a fact that thiers a circut breaker in the drivers side fuse box(end of the dash-bothsides have one).
Thier is a mechanical drawing in the Tips and Maintenance (http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbulletin/forumdisplay.php?f=2148)subforum that might help identify the problem.
