Yeah... I wonder what his trick is... I layed over his result (it's on his homepage) with the reference from Subaru, and it's 100% perfect.
I think he must have had some reference directly on the screen which is invisible for the capturing camera, (these camera tools can also capture only one window on the desktop), so that he traced it with MS Paint. I can't imagine sb, not even a pro, who can do a 100% perfect copy just by guessing the proportions.
Still it is some great work and it looks totally awesome.

a real professional artist can draw/paint anything out of his head. He/she looks at the subject for about 30 mins, rememebrs all the details and then draws/paints. Its a common exercise at art univercities. We didnt do it though. :( .
But i doubt that a someone on that level would bother drawing anything in MS paint. :)

I think I know what you mean, some people might have this ability, but still, their work can not be 100% perfect. It might look perfect, because its 90% correct and you can't spot the mistakes with your own eyes. But a human beeing is not a photocopier. I still stick to the tracing-from-an-overlay-idea. Because when I layed it over in Photoshop, it was 100% correct. All lines fitted perfectly and so did the colors.

I have to agree with "knightvision" thats is extreemly exact for being suposidly "not traced"...but i think it did take some effort to do such in m.s. paint! good job SG. i would like how ever to see some other cutome wotk with out tracing done in m.s.paint! I have tested this program and tweeked the idea of its posibilitys, and know how far with out other tools how to get a out come as good as such u can see in my art and more...
I encourage you and all others to test this by using just a mouse and no refferance pic on hte comp to draw. Its challanging ... Check out all my work on "YOU TUBE" ... look up "MADINKER" the last video uploaded is the best...
but not my best work done in there.

Yeah, Madinker, I really like your work and although I rarely use MS paint I can understand how hard it must be to get such efforts with these limited toolbox. Your work is the best example for that there can be done great art in MS Paint, but you should know best how hard it would be to render a car like the Subaru with this program.
And, of course, like you said, even if he traced it, it is still a great piece of work. Maybe, he fears that, if he mentioned that it was traced, people wouldn't respect his work so much because many of them wouldn't see the difficulty level of is work 'cause they never tried it themselves.
If I can find some time and patience, I will try one myself.
