i was wondering how much should i charge for my 2.8L firebird engine, i have someone who might be interested in purchasing it and i want to give them a fair price but also get as close to its worth as possible. the engine is in good condition.

I would let them make an offer. You can't get that much for it :sorry:

you don't get that much for a stock 350. i wouldn't get my hopes up over a 2.8 V6.
ask him to make an offer, it you think it's enough then it's a done deal. just remember, ask for too much and people will walk away over an engine like that.

ask 200 and work from there.... worst that can happen is he says "how about ___" then you bargain.

yep, if he gives you $75 and a stick of gum, you'd be coming out on top. just bargain with him and take his final offer. you cant really shop that engine around to people cuz there arent really very many takers.

yeah thats what i was thinking a co-worker told me that taking it apart and scraping it piece by piece would be the best way to go, if i was trying to get some money for it, i dont know so what do you think?

stripping for parts usually fetches a higher overall price. but only if enough people want parts.
if you've got someone who wants the whole engine, you're better off selling it complete.
