AC Not Working Need Help

Ok I am trying to get the AC going on my 1991 Geo Metro. Previous owner stated used to work, should work ...... just needs charged. Here is what I tried.
I can not get the compressor to engage.:shakehead
Inside AC button pushed in, lights up when fan switch is turned to the first position.
Pulled a vacuum on the system.
Put in a can of R12. (Pressures still equalized because clutch on compressor never engaged.)
Jumpered what I believed to be the low pressure switch.
Checked fuse in fuse box under hood. Reset AC relays under hood.
Still nothing. :shakehead Where is the low pressure switch located on 91 Geo Metro? Anything else I have to do to get the clutch on the compressor to engage? What else should I check. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks!
