Guys, I have similar situation similar to the pic below, What is the procedure of spraying Clear Lacquer over the decal???? Should I glue the windows first, and then put all the sticker on and then spray clear lacquer (on the windows frame as well) ???? Please Help :bloated:

Wow, tough call! I guess spraying clear over the window would be OK, but I would test it out on a piece of scrap clear plastic, to make sure whatever clear you're using doesn't fog up the plastic. Then make sure to mask and do the black rubber trim (the clear coat should prevent the tape from lifting up any decals).

That is pain in the ass........it would be a very tough masking..........and I dont want to ruin the 1600 yen studio 27 sticker.

I would never laquer over a window. I would cut the decal where intersects with window and deal with window separately. I wouuld wax or put Future over the decal on the window. The Future can be wioed on over the decal with a Q-tip.

Outside of the USA Future is called Johnson's Klear, Its a liquid acrylic floor finish. It can be removed with ammonia. A Q-tip is brand name for what some may call a cotton swab or bud.

That's tricky!!!

How about leaving that decal til last, after you have applied the clear coat. It won't matter if its just on decal!

Isn't it a decal on the real car?? So for realism's sake maybe you should just leave it. Try getting some real pics of the car so you can judge what to do.
