I Have A 1998 Gmc Sierra, 5700 With Auto Tranny. I Would Like To Add A Transmission Temp Gauge To Monitor The Transmission Temp. Is There Any Plugs On Transmission To Install The Sender Or Do I Need To Install In The Line To The Cooler? Any Cheap Easy Upgrades For The Tranny For Towing? Thanks In Advance.

A lot of people use the test port on the tranny to install a temp gauge sender. As far as upgrades, I would recommend a Transgo Kit plus Corvette Servo. All of the other upgrades are internal (Beast Sun Shell, 5 Pinion Planetary, upgraded 3-4 clutches).

Thanks, do you know where about the diagnostic plug is? Do you know what the thread size is? That sounds better than going in line or in the pan.
just picked up my camper from dealer on sat. I borrowed a set of tow mirrors, they were the ones that slide over oem mirrors. I found they are too small and kinda "cheap". any body replace there mirrors with ones that slide out, like the newer pickups with tow mirrors. The "universal" ones seem too small and hard to see out of. Thanks.

Here is a link that has a picture of the test port but I don't know the thread size: http://www.keystonekrawlers.com/Mods/GM/4L60E/Trans_Temp/Tran_Temp_Guage.htm
