Ok this is all second hand info.I have seen posts with a zetek engine,I dont know if he has one.He just said 4CYL.The owner is a pretty mechanically inclined guy.Does a lot of his own work. This one stumped him :banghead:

His sons contour stalls while driving. It acts like its not getting fuel...just quits. Here is the list of parts he has changed or had checked and meter'd good.crank sensor, cam sensor,TPS,IAC...had "firing" modual check'd its ok..Must mean ignition modual and the MAS sensor. He claims it can happen more quickly if he has all the acc's on too.He says he has to wait a "bit" +/- 5 mins before it will start. He has "popped" the strator valve and says the fuel dribbles out? .Thanks in advance for your time.

Fuel should literally spray out if you push in the shraeder valve. If its just dribbling out, thats not normal. Could be a fuel issue. Might want to replace the fuel filter and see if that helps since thats about a 5 minute fix.

Well, the fuel pump in the tank does have a "sock" or screen if you will that can pick some pretty nasty stuff. Pictures are worth a thousand words.

disregard the info about installing the svt focus fuel pump, but all the info is still the same.
