2000 Lift

I have a 2000 Silverado 4x4 with a 3'' body lift and i would like to put a suspension lift on, however, i dont want to pay for a lift. What do you guys think about torsion key lifts. Also, any ideas on a used lift that is in good shape for sale?

You can really only achieve about 2 inches safely with new keys. Yes while you get more you will be putting a ton of stress on ball joints, tie rods and CV's. One other thing to consider is your ride will suck if you crank your bars that much. Your shocks could bottom out and you will def hit the droop bumpstops everytime you hit a bump or hole.

As for finding a good used lift. That is really a crap shoot. You can always find one on ebay but its taking a big chance. Anything that may have stress cracks or bent can turn you into a 5000lb death machine. There are a lot of quality lifts out there that are relatively inexpensive new, You can always find a pro-comp lift. Great lift, great price, but can be a bear to install. Hope some of this helps. Let me know what your ultimate goal is (are you looking for bigger tires, want taller fenders).

Just save up and do it the right way.

i wouldnt trust a used lift like what texas said i would just save up and do it right the first time but i will tell you lifting your truck is addicting and you will always want more:iceslolan
