It's been awhile since I posted anything and I thought I would show you something other than a colored pencil drawing. This was done with airbrush and acrylics. The paper size is about 13x15 inches. I used several Paasche airbrushes on it and then finished off the small detail by hand.

Great work. Nice detailing.
Question for you--on the side windows, there's no reflection pattern, nor
is it transparent like the front windshield.
It looks like something is missing when compared to the horizon reflection in the body paint.
Was your reference a studio shot with nothing to reflect?
It's a great image, but that was just something that caught my eyes.

The angle on the side window is tilted toward the sky so it is reflecting the brightness of the sky. As you can see it is a light blue color. I probably should have done a faint see through to the interior but the reference didn't have it and until you mentioned it I didn't even think about it. Good catch though.

looks great! glad to see your airbrush work. Is there alot of masking involved? If so, does it take more time than the airbrushing itself? I found this happened to me the last time I tried to airbrush a car.

Thanks everyone for looking and commenting. Alex, I use a clear masking medium. I make my drawing lightly on the board and then cover it with the masking sheet. I then lightly cut out the major shapes with an Exacto knife. It takes a little practice to cut through but not heavy enough to score the paper. They do make electric burner knives but I've never tried one because I don't do that many airbrush pieces. You then lift the area that you want to spray and when you're finished you can replace that mask if need be. The more complicated the shapes and reflections are the more segments there are going to be in the masking. As far as total time relative to colored pencils I would say it's much less because you cover larger areas so much quicker.
