cannot program new transimitter for my PA

Got a new one cause my old one drowned :/ haha. so anyway, the new one i got online came with directions for jumping the pins on the obd II and everything. the car acts as if its in programming mode, but doesn't respond after holding down the lock and unlock buttons for 30 seconds simultaniusly. and yes the remote has batteries lol. can someone please help me!? thanks guys!

Nope, a paper clip is commonly used. Be sure to insert the ends of the jumper (paper clip) into the correct slots.
