I have a 1999 honda accord ex at. Whenever i start the car the maint req light flashes for about 10 seconds. it doesnt come on anyother time. i am just wondering if anyone knows why this would be happening

It reminds you to change your oil.
Turn car off.
Press and hold trip meter.
Turn key to ON position (engine NOT running!!!)
Hold it for 10-15 seconds and watch light disapear.
DO NOT forget to change your oil!
