I am currently parting out my modded Jetta 1.8T so that I can return it to stock and then order a new 350Z. I have been "bored" with current offerings that I could afford and then Nissan has to come out with something that is affordable and causes immense drooling.
Anyhow, I will not be attempting to purchase the car until March '03 to help avoid price-hiking. Also, I don't feel the need to subject a car to Indiana winters if I don't have to. I will use a method know on the net as the "Rizzo Method" which includes using a FAX machine to make offers. That way you don't have to talk to a salesperson until they accept your offer. It worked on my last car.
My questions:
1. Nissans are as popular as the plague in central Indiana so I was wondering if the dealers are actually trying the typical price-gouging around here? I would check myself, but I've been doing 12hr days here at work.
2. What are you paying for your cars? MSRP, more, less?
3. Anyone have the Enthusiast model? Is there anything you kick yourself for not getting a higher model? I don't want a bunch of fancy stuff, just a well-equipped and fun car.
4. Typically are Nissan dealers at least somewhat "mod-friendly"? Around here VW dealers are the "mod-nazis" and the Subby dealers don't seem to give a crap.
Thanks!
