if there was no such thing as a 3s, what car would you have?

answer is easy for me, id have a 300zxtt. its always been the next best thing to me. i actually came very close to getting one at the same time i was looking for a vr4. similar speed nice looks! imo

what would you guys(and gals) have bought?

yes, I was actually looking for a z, but then found a decent deal on my gt... otherwise, I really dig the 240sx and sometimes an evo or redline... but i like to sit lower than those do.

Well, I have my GTC as well. Plus there are a HOST of other cars I am out to get.

Eh, not the greatest looking car but they're hella fun to drive.

90-92 or LT1 camaro, maybe a 92 with an LT1 swapped into it. LS1's are neat and all, but I would want to turbo the bitch after a while.

before i purchased my 3S, i was searching for the 3000GT, 300ZX, and Supra. at that time, if there had not been the 3S, i probably would have gotten a 300ZX (more plentiful, cheaper), but hindsight is 20/20, and now i would take a Supra (styling much better than the Z, headlights on Z car are Fugly).

3gen RX7 no question.. I am still thinking about getting one soon.. just waiting for a good deal. I lost a lot of respect in all of you that want a firebird!! haha no i am just playing thats cool and all just not for me.. at all blaa!!

I love RX7's and supras, but i would realistically never own one because i like living...

i would kill myself in a RWD with that much power/tuning potential.

plus theyre harder to find and more expensive...and for the RX7, i kinda want something i can fix if shit goes wrong lol.

i looked at a few 300zx's too...but i just think the 3kgt looks better. looks wer ethe deciding factor in that battle.

Talskinyguy, you can TT a LS1. There are kits out there for it. If there were no 3000gt's out there first off I would seriously be rich because this pile breaks down every second. You guys heard me talk about the ECU and 2nd motor going bad right? Well yesterday I found out the tranny blew. I am actually looking for a LT1 F-body as we speak.

id have to get a 3rd gen RX7. my drives a RX8 (love driving that car... needs a turbo tho) and he keeps telling me to leave the pistons at home.

Yes you can, but if you want to make some "real" power you have to swap in an iron block, or billet aluminum so you dont break the block in 1/2. Why not just start out with a cheaper motor, thats cheaper to modify, and has an iron block. If I had an LSx car I would put a rear mounted turbo on it, LTx car I would do twin turbos.

i'd b driving one of the following, the porsche 944 up the road that's for sale. the 911 that was for sale about a month ago. or the finally the last the saleen mustang my friends were selling
i wouldnt step foot in a z, supra or rx7, granted the rx7 is a nice car, and much lighter than the 3s.

Id would have to go for an old school F body or Chevelle myself, with a supercharged 383 :).

if there were no 3S's out there....there's three cars i would love to have either of:

1) 04-06 Scooby Sti - I had a WRX for about a year and a half before i got my VR4, and loved it. I just like them better than the EVO. That boxer engine is t!tties!

2) 00-01 Audi S4 - The unconventional/sleeper AWD TT car. I've seen some bad ass S4's with 450+ hp. Now that's a sweet 4door sedan.

3) 03-04 Mustang Cobra 10th Anniversary. Throw some pulleys, gears, and exhaust on there you got yourself a low 12 sec. car. i miss my 00 GT too.

I think DSM's rock for performance but I would never even consider buying one. I have talked to countless people who have owned them and they simpily are a pile. Can they be fast? VERY but they are still piles because you have to swap in or overhaul the motor more often than you change the oil.

all it takes is a good tune.. most the poeple i have talked to that blow there shit up all the time (one of my best friends) are running psi in the 20's and there on a stock fuel system.. maybe a pump.. but stock injectors.. maybe I just happen to run into these people. but there every where out here.. my friend bryan had his at about 22 pounds stock every thing but turbo

I got my SL as a daily driver, so if it didnt exist, my next choice was a V6 '98+ Firebird convertible. No V8 for a daily beater, thank you very much!
