1998 Check Engine Light

I have a 1998 Park Ave with the Check engine light on. I had the code read and it was P0121(TPS). I replaced the TPS and had the code reset, but a couple of days the light came back on with the same code. Any Idea??

Hello,

Two things to check on.

1) EGR solenoid carboned up and stuck open. This might/might not be related.

2) False DTC- Some yrs of 97 and up GM's gave false readings as pertained to the TPS PO121 code. The fix was to reboot the system with upgraded information. This also might/might not be related.
