D16Y8 + D15B7 = Mini-Me

I'm planning on making a mini-me using a D15B7 mated with a D16Y8 head. This will be going into a 97' EX.
I have several questions.
1. The D16Y8 is from the '97 EX, while the D15B7 is from a '94. Will this present any problems?
2. One mechanic I spoke to said something about a sensor near the oil pump in VTEC's. Will I be able to use the existing oil pump on the D15B7?
3. Should I use a D16Y8 head gasket, or one for a D15B7?
4. As far as electrical, will I be able to use all the old plugs and wires from the VTEC or will I need to purchase any adaptors or extras?
