Yea and she's in the very first picture on the top of the post, too. So that just makes it twice as worse, since it's really hard to miss her standing there against the car. :icon16:

no offense, I was just all dreamy-eyed looking at the water and thinking of my vacation....I mean C'mon, look at the clouds in the first picture. Its almost to perfect...It is really funny now though...because all though pregnant she is a keeper...and just think, she'll knock off at least 2/10ths once the babys born...

Thanks guys! seriously you all make me feel good about myself *teer*.

I worked my ass off forever to get the goat and then we saved hard for the Redline despite lots of setbacks but yeah, shes a fighter and shes been my strength to keep fighting and keep saving up. next step is a bigger house cause the one we have now is full! I want the baby to grow up in a roomy home and if ever we have another I'd want to already have the space for the whole family.

Shes due on June 12th. If hes anything like me he already knows how good he has it right now and will chill for a few more days though. :icon16:

She does like to show off the belly, very proud mommy!

Oh and the wax job on the Redline actually goes by faster then on the Goat. I guess cause its a smaller car, its a breeze to detail that sucker. the GTO is a 2.5 hour job from start to finish including rims, tire and pipes. the Redline takes about an hour and forty.

KamilMk
03-27-2007, 11:56 PM
Hmm, for some reason I convinced myself that the Redline would be tougher to detail, and therefore would take more time to do so.
I guess it's the other way around though, isn't it. However, either way you have had your hands full having to detail both of these cars.
If I can still do math correctly, it took you approximately... 4 hours to do both? Assuming you did them the same day.

Musashi3000GT
03-28-2007, 12:07 AM
The GTO was already waxed and I have a car cover for it so it never got rained on. I washed and waxed the Redline then I went over the GTO with some spray detailer (15 minutes) to bring out some luster.

I wax each car once a month. the 1st of the month for the GTO and the 15th for the Redline. We are under water restrictions and yes you are correct, doing them both would take between 4 and 4.5 hours. so the water restriction says I have to wash them before 9:00 a.m. which is still no good cause the sun comes up at 7:45 and you cant wax in dirrect sunlight. if I was to do both Id have to be up by 4:00 a.m. at the latest!

usually If I want them both to look good I'll hit them up with the Mr. clean jet dry kit or towel wash them and then spray detail em. Both cars takes about 1.5 hours.

KamilMk
03-28-2007, 12:13 AM
Yea, that sounds reasonable. And I wouldn't get up at 4 a.m to detail my cars either, no way, no how. Not that I would'nt want to get up, because trust me, I love them to be clean, it's just that I usually used to wax my cars on the weekends, because that was the most free time I had most weeks. I just wouldn't be able to get up that early in the morning... not something I'm used to.

Chiquae07
03-28-2007, 08:51 AM
only takes ya 2.5 hours to wash and wax the gto? are you mad? lol, just messin with ya.

it takes me at least 3 hours to clean the car, thats not including wax.
i wash the car 3 times before actually preping the car for wax comes on.
1st one is for removing dirt and grime
then comes bug and tar
then comes degreaser on the tires
2nd one is for removing the bug and tar
then comes the wheel cleaner itself
then comes claying
3rd one is to remove the clay marks
and then tire shine

------- then comes the real time consuming crap
then comes scratch/swirl remover, and the prep for wax, the actual wax, and glass cleaner.

maybe im just a crazy detailer. and i dont have a da, so its all done by hand:banghead:

and if i remember right, i remember you saying how you use nxt wax. the cure time for best results is....12 hours so much for that during this time of year lol. and thats only the 1st coat.

KamilMk
03-28-2007, 09:45 AM

Man when you come down here I'll pay you a whole dollar to wash both my cars!

Chiquae07
03-28-2007, 02:30 PM
a whole dollar. lol. i might take you up on that. well, more like a couple big tall classes of water and ice. i actually like washing cars, and i'm really debating on buying one of these meguiars DA's. maybe i'll do some detailing when my cousin is hungover from the nights of partying. i diddnt know you guys had water restrictions. hmmm. making me think here.
me washing cars = crazy. neighbors ask me if i wash it too much. i go through a huge gallon of car wash soap, before the parents have to open a new dish soap. thats how much i wash the car, when its not snowing outside.

gotian, this should give you an idea of what the car looks like when its only been washed 3 times, bug and tar'd, clay bar'd and the tires have been degreased and dressed properly. no wax, scratch/swirl remover at all.

We are under water restrictions
How does a state surrounded by water on three sides, full of lakes, marshes and wetlands and where it's a damn near a tropical climate with 637% humidity have a drought to cause Florida residents to be water wise?

We have our droughts all the time, we're told to "conserve" water and such because California, especially southern California is just desert. Despite on what you see on TV with all the palm trees and string bikinis... we're on arrid dry land that used to be craptacular desert.

You Floridians are effin nuts. If it wasn't for the fact that Florida looks like it's America's wang taking a piss on Cuba... I'd say to hell with you and disown you crazy F'ers.

Piss on Mushman!

Not that I have anything against Cuba or it's people, I just think it's a funny visual of Florida draining it's main vain onto it...

Because our local government is ran by a bunch of stupid ass wet-backs!
Its not the whole state bro, just Miami.

My friends in Orlando, Tampa and Ocala have no problems with water right now. Just us.

What... they saving the water for a rainy day?... Oh wait, it's supposed to rain there tonight. Then it's partly cloudy for the next week there (which means it'll probably rain here and there), then next friday it's supposed to rain again.

You're right, Miami is stupid.

Move to California where we only worry about Earthquakes, Wild Fires, and other natural disasters such as the Grammy Awards.

I feel your pain Mushiman. Untill I was 18, I, for all better purposes, lived in Pensacola over the summer. It was the same thing there. I went to a city council meeting for my grandpa onc to see when he would be allowed to water his lawn, and this is pretty much how it went.

Why cant we water our lawn?
-Because we are saving water for if we have a draught.
Are we in a draught now?
-No, we have plenty of water now. But we want to save it in case we do have one.
So basically, we are in a self imposed draught in case we are in a non self imposed draught?
-No. We are just restricting water use in case we have a draught.
Wait wait. So your saying that our lawn is dying because it can't get water, which is basically a draught, in case we have a draught later on?
-*silence*
So we are forcing our sleves to restrict water, as if we were in a draught, not because we are in a draught, but because there is a fifty fifty chance we might get one later?
-Yeah, pretty much.
Screw you guys, I'm going home.

I love Florida man, but that state is run on the local and state level by some dumb people.
