windshield crack repair kit

Has any one every used a windshield crack repair kit?

my windshield has a crack about 6 inches long... trying to avoid a big expense if i can..

Yep... it works...it won't crack longer, but not a subsitute for a new screen. If it is not in your line of sight, go for it.

I have had three screens in my 97 XJ (so far).

I always use it if I get a rock hit (or a bullseye).

Try a glass repair shop. If it isn't in the driver's view, they can torch the glass and stop the crack. That spot will be like looking through a coke bottle. That's why it's not legal for the driver's side.
