apparently 2 carrera gt's were totaled making that movie redline, which this charity event was about.

The producer owns that/those and the Enzo. I believe only one was totaled for the movie, around the ferrari boards they've said that it was a salavaged title CGT and the other story is that he claims the car tried to kill him (ie - couldn't handle the power) and took the engine out and destroyed it.

The real story being speculated is that this was actually staged to happen to create more hype for the movie.

Oh yea, and the car IS NOT totaled.

Don't forget it's built on a carbon-fibre monocoque, once it breaks you can't fix it. you can't bond it again or pull it back into shape. it doesn't take a big impact to wreck something built on a carbon-fibre base. from the look of that video, i'd say it was beyond repair.

Does the Enzo use crash-cones before the monocoque like the SLR??

I saw that on ESPN or somethin like that yesterday. That car is more than Eddie Griffin's whole career put together.

i'd be very surprised if that's reparable. once you break something like a suspension mounting on a carbon-fibre monocoque, you can't really fix it.
