Montana cooling issues

Hello to all.

I have a problem with my 99 Montana. Tonight my wife was driving it and it died on her and she said the temp gage was in the red and it wouldn't start. I went to get her about 10 minutes after it happened. I got in it fired right up and I haven't been able to duplicate it since. I let it idle and the temp does get up to about 210F but that is it. It didn't seem hot when I got there. I had the intake gaskets replaced and the coolant flushed about a year ago. It has 130,000 miles on it. Is it possible for a thermostat to stick? Are there any other cooling issues these things are prone to do?

Thanks.

Sounds like a sticky thermostat. I had one of those in my 99 Grand Am with the 3.4, and if it sticks for too long, you will warp the head. Luckily mine was replaced under warranty, and they aren't too bad to do on your own.
