starter car..

I wanted to get some imput about what kind of car I want to get.. I've always wanted to race but never had the chance to really learn about cars. So i'm lookin for sort of a starter car something easy to mess around with and learn more about the engine.. sorry i don't think im makin since thats why I need some help..Im lookin for a car that I can like take in my garage and mess around with.. I know civic's are easy with like 1000 after market parts but I really don't want one..well if I make any sense please give me some advice..I guess im leaning more toward a tuner but I really only race 1/4mile so yeah I have $1500+ what ever I get for my probe to get a new car..thanks in advance:banghead: :banghead:

what is your budget cause 1500+ is not really a good idea of your budget and also since you said you like 1/4 then look for rwd not fwd.

well im lookin to have $3000 to get a car ( dosn't need to look pretty) im getting rid my probe (I hate that car). my parts budget is pretty much my checks from work. I have plenty of free time and a little garage to work on it with.

dodge omni? idk lol, never owned one but i hear they go like stink, check out streetfire for some vids. btw they look like a rolling turd, but there cheap and fast.
