how much power are the oem pistons, rods and crank rated for on a 95 awd tsi?

Rated for I'm not sure, but you should be fine up to 400 hp.

Please use the subforums...

I've heard of 7 bolt stuff being good to around 400 hp but I wouldnt personally push them past about 350. I know guys with 500+ on stock 6 bolts, but I dont think I would push them to more than around 450.

2g pistons will take well up to 450hp. Unfortunatly, the rods will be lucky to handle anywhere near 400...

Yep in your situation you don't even need to worry about the pistons. As was said above the rods are what would break in that motor first.

A quick fix would be to pick up some 1g rods. And do a minor rebuild.

Considering the money that he would have invested after buying some 1g rods and having them machined to fit a 2g piston, he would almost be better off just buying an aftermarket 7 bolt rod set for it. :2cents:
