hey guys i just installed my first mod,ever!:grinyes: anyway, i was wondering on my cia there are two outlets on it, one hose gets attached to the engine,fine, but when i took off the stock intake there was only one hose which is the one to the engine. what the hell is the other outlet for? also it has a mounting bracket welded on it but there is nowhere to secure it, so do i drill my own hole and mount it like that?

If you post a picture it may be easier to see whatsgoing on, but I believe the other goes to the exhaust. On my car stock, there was a hose going from the intake to the downpipe. Others however, didnt have that. I was rare for some reason. I just bought a little breather filter and installed it on mine. Pics would help out a lot though.

Did you by an ebay one or a brand name? I have an extra little knob on mine down near the bottom a few inches from the filter, I didn't hook it to anything and it works fine. I figured if I happen to suck up water it has a place to escape before going up the pipe.

thats funny because the same thought came to me about the water escaping.LOL but yeh it was an ebay one.

but you know what i noticed, when i rev the motor it sounds kinda like a bov.lol

You can now hear the TB opening and sucking in air with your CAI... My Firebird does the same thing but to the extreme since I just stuck a filter right on the TB. lol :icon16:

I just laugh and say its my intake. They don't always believe me, but they also probably don't know the real sound of a turbo and BOV.
