lookin good doggkorn, BTW forgot to ask the other night, why didnt you just order a complete gasket kit, since pistons wernt fitted to block make sure you double check piston to wall clearance and all that stuffs and whatnot, high volume oil pumps arnt really required unless you bearing clearances are high, id say somewhere around .003" but overall its not going to hurt anytthing, just for future reference

you didnt say anything about a cam. you only have 1.5 rockers listed on there and you probably wont be getting the most out of those heads unless you go with a really wild hydraulic roller cam. I think you might want atleast 1.6 (maybe 1.7 depending on the cam) to get the most out of those head, cuz they can take a lot of lift.

*EDIT whoops, isee the cam now. what are the specs?

hmm.. thats a well thought out list. great choice of parts! theres not much to improve on. what tranny/drivetrain parts will you be using?

and how far along is this? got anything built yet? pics? when you planning on starting it up?

that's gonna be a lot to handle in that 68! Nice!

parts come in wed through friday. Rotating assembly might be here end of this week or early next week. Getting started ass soon as I can. My goal is to get this done by may 18th for a big car show. I will probably have to upgrage the drivetrain. Right now I have a 700r4 with a shift kit out of a 88 IROC and a 12 bolt rear with 3.42's.

upgrade on the trans, it will hold but not for long, especially if you get on the go pedal
