HASport sells one for like $200
Although I think they require you to send them your core harness.
You can always check out their website at www.hasport.com and email them or somethin'

What I'm wondering is, instead of converting the DX wiring harness to MPFI.... could you just take a MPFI harness out of an Si or EX and just transfer the whole thing over to the DX?
Don't think I've ever seen that option explored.
And I kinda wanna know, cause I can get my hands on a MPFI wiring harness real easily!

I can get you the resistor box for $10 shipped. Also, I think there is a SOHC ZC intake manifold setup on Ebay.

getting the si harness, is the only way i know how to do it!! the reason for that is because you need a new ecu, but if you have a std like i do it then you have to upgrade to a 5 speed tranny also, and after you add all that up, its just easier, and more economical to do a D16 engine swap!! Just My Opionion!!

you should get the harness anyways for the fuel injector plugs and stuff. when i did my swap we had an entire MPFI harness but it would be 10 times harder to swap out the entire engine harness than to just extend a couple wires and run a couple more for the fuel injectors. you should keep the MPFI harness around for plugs, and it also works great if you just need a piece of wire *hack* *hack* ;)

Does anybody know where to get a new MPFI harness? I sold my MPFI stuff and I'm trying to get it back, since I'm getting another A6 it'll have everything but a complete harness (stupid rednecks wont let me disconnect everything!) and I'm also missing the injector resistor pack

I would assume that using the Si wiring harness would mean rewiring most of the engine compartment, where as using the DX harness and just converting would, as the man said, mean only extending a few wires, running two extras for the injectors, and putting in the injector pins...
I would also assume (since I've never seen one) a MPFI ECU has the same shape port to plug into the wiring harness as does the DPFI.
In which case, converting from DPFI to MPFI doesn't sound like too hard of a thing to do... was just wondering if using the entire MPFI harness would be easier or not... but I guess not.

Why would you have to upgrade to a 5 speed transmission? I'm planning on doing the swap some time and I've talked to a bunch of people about it, but nobody said I'd have to do that! Are you sure?

u dont have to but with the SI tranny u get better performance & it's axles r stronger.

There is the full MPFI setup on the parts trader for $90

well because you have to get an si ecu, which is made for a 5 speed, and the std, is a 4 speed, if you have a DX 5 speed then you might not need to!!

I thought that the only time matchin the ecu and transmission mattered was when it was an automatic car.

just a precaution, the DX ecu WILL NOT work with multi port. i repeat... Will NOT work.. i tried when i did my conversion and the engine starts but it will run really really really bad becasue its only firiing on two cylinders.

Looks like he is not including the resistor box, and ecu.
