Missing Mirror

ok i have a 85 reg cab 4X4 and im about done with the engine and about to paint it and i noticed that on my passenger side there is no mirror and doesnt look like theres ever been one does any body know why any help would be nice.

I got a 88 2 wheel drive that came without a passenger side mirror also. I guess they were trying to save a little money.

Your probably right but i still want a passenger side mirror cause i want to even things out lol
