Need Help In A Hurry!!!!

Ok I have a 94 Celica ST and my friend the other day put my muffler on and took off a muffler thing that i think was a resonater and ran a straight pipe any way he also degreased the engine and power washed it. i dont know why he power washed it but he took it out to see how it was going to drive and it died on him. i knew that the distributer cap probably had water in it so he wiped it out and it started back up. now it started running like crap, it wont rev over 5000 rpms and the intake sounds like it is sucking alot of air. if i gun it there is no power what so ever. it doesnt die and it starts great but theres no power anymore and it sucks alot of air. please if you read this and know anything that can help me get back to me.PLEASE
