Oil fouling estimate

Hey guys. I have a 420A with tons of oil getting into cylinder 1, causing a misfire reading. I'm guessing I have bad piston rings or valve guides?
Could you guys give me your idea of what a fair price would be to work on this? I am planning on finding a shop pretty soon. But I don't know what prices to expect.
Thanks!

Could be a head gasket, rings, valves, valve guides, valve seals... there's more than just one cause of that.
A shop will charge you up the ass for work like that. If it's head work, you're not looking at too huge of a price. Maybe around the $400 mark, maybe even more. If it's rings, you've got a little more money there. Be looking at at least $600 I'm guessing. Either way, the head has to be ripped off, timing belt removed and retimed, and more. It's time consuming and a rough job. It's not easy at all.
Go around to your local shops and get pricing. Cheapest is not always the best route to go. Find places that are reputable and willing to get their hands dirty. Any place you go, go in there acting like you know exactly what you're talking about. Tell them, "I have this problem, either caused by this or this. What do you think and how much?" Then there's less of a chance of getting raped with labor and parts. Good luck and let us know how much they think.

Alright guys, I have an update after what seems like an eternity.
I had the valve cover seal replaced for about $180 over here. But the misfire continued right after I left the shop. I didn't complain that much since I figured I needed to take care of that oil leak anyways.
But I called the shop back and the dude figured it was the coil pack. He wanted to charge be $200 to replace it. Advance had a coil pack on sale for $78 so I did it myself. But that still wasn't it!!
Any ideas where I should look next? I'm not sure how to mess with wiring or whatnot.
Thanks in advance.

Did you replace the plugs after you had the valve cover gasket replaced? Did it actually fix the oil leak?

module under the coil pack
What are you talking about? I don't remember seeing anything under the coil pack when I upgraded mine.

Sorry, I don't follow? What engine are you talking about?
I didn't replace the plugs or wires, because they both looked pretty good. The plugs fire correctly, but the firing is just inconsistent...so I'm thinking it's something else? Idk. Thanks for the help guys. Let me know what you think.
