Wow man those are really old school, the Grand Prix one seems pretty awesome though. Man the oppurtunities are endless for a new automotive cartoon/anime to be made with today's technology. I just hope it wouldn't be some knock off NASCAR bullshit >_<

Wow....Speed Racer live action. Make it PG-13 or R and we'll have a sweet car action movie!!! Stupid family movies...

If you think about it, with all the violence that show with racers' cars going off the track. Who came up with the idea to dig years and years into the past to make this.

I don't think there's any way the Wachowski Bros are gonna pass this one off as a family movie. But damn, when you think of the old school action with today's technology.........There's only a few ways they can screw it up, and I totally trust all the Matrix personal to put out a hit.

I saw this feature in the Feb 2001 issue of Wired where you could buy your own Mach 5 if you had 72,000 bucks to blow. it was built on a 90's vette chassis and had a 400 horse chevy smallblock in it. I'd put the website up there, but I just checked, and it doesn't work. oh well.

I want a Mach 5. Does it have the springs??? And do I get a monkey with it???

I remember seeing that a while back, looks pretty sweet in person. But I'm guessing it'll be changed dramatically in the movie, which I'm fine with as long as it looks mean as hell.
