Ok, Ill start up my 91 corolla and it will start along with a loud high pitch squeal. Almost sounds like metal scraping against metal. Then it goes away after a few secconds. While driving or even in neutral, if I push the clutch in, I can hear as if something has opened or something is rubbing or scraping but its not nearly as loud as when it is started. Its more of a ticking sound while the clutch is in. It drives normal and runs fine, just makes this noise. I want to guess the transmission, since everything else on the car is fine and within a few years old exept the transmission. Anyone know what it could be and how to fix it?

My guess is a bad clutch throw out bearing.
This is a bearing that is on the transmission input shaft and is part of your clutch linkage.
