Greetings folks!
Looking into buying a 93-94 4wd Suburban and wondering if there are any common problem areas to be on the watch for?
Example, Blazers and Jimmy of the vintage having problems with the vacuum control for the front differential on the 4wd and such.
Any input is welcome.

Gas mileage and transmission would be at the top of my list.
And check the rear bumper for any big old trailer hitches.
A lot of the Transmissions along that year were short life
The suburban has a electric actuator on front axle but they also wear out.
But there is a newer type change over on them that works better and engages a lot better.
Fuel pumps and intake gaskets will go at higher mileage.
If it has had proper care and maintenance would one thing to check out before buying.
Good luck if you buy it.

Thanks!
So i'm assuming beware the hitch is in conjunction with the trans problem? (towing out of weight range)
Seems loike alot aof transmissions and transaxles of the era 91-94ish are plagues.
Mileage was an anticipated low point :(

10-4 on the trailer hitch.
The bigger the trailer or receiver hitch the bigger the load usually pulled.
A lot Suburban's are used to pull large horse trailers and travel trailers and exc..
Always look the rear bumper area over good even if it does not have one on it.
Some car dealers will remove the big hitches but there will always be signs of one being on there.
The early 90 transmissions were not set up very heavey or as good as late 90 or 2000 up models.
But some of them have been rebuilt and beefed up and make good transmissions.
Good luck

You are welcome.
