I have to replace the idler arm on my 95 k1500 4x4. 130,000 miles. Should I have to replace the arm and pivot assy. or just the arm? Also, should I remove the whole assy to change just the arm on the bench? Thers is a pretty wide swing on the prices as well. From 23.00-75.00 any help on removal and brand I should buy and torque specs as well as any tips would be appreaciated.

Are the bushings in the bkt worn, if so you need the whole thing. Check this link. http://autozone.com/servlet/UiBroker?ForwardPage=/az/cds/en_us/0900823d/80/08/81/52/0900823d80088152.jsp

I would recomend on spending more money and buying a good one, don't buy a second line, you will regret it. Look for a part store that either sales Spicer or Moog, both are excelent brands.
