JDM/EDM hybrid project

So recently, I traded in a 1999 toyota tercel my uncle left for me after getting his 03' altima for a 95' bmw 318i. Originally, i was just going to sell it off. But I decided to build a project out of it. I've talked to the guys from JDM-Online about doing a 1JZ-GTE swap, and they know people who've done the swap before. I've been researching the swap itself, but not really finding much. So I'm wondering if anyone here knows what kind of mods and fabbing i need to make/do? Relative input is greatly appreciated.

you're thinking of puting a 1JZ-GTE into a 318i? why not put an M3 or M5 engine in it if you're going to swap? it'll probably be easier and you won't be making a bmw sound like a japanese car.

Aside from an m3 or m5 motor probably costing a lot, the aftermarket support for those motors probably cost a lot to. Call me what you want, but I grew up holding the jdm in high regards and it's something that hasn't been done yet, well not that i know of so it'll be pretty sweet and innovative. I guess it's all our preferences and opinions that make us who we are and where we stand in the tuning scene, no? Nevertheless, I'm still going to go through with it, just need to research. -_-"
