Yeah, I think its a cop car in japan or something. I've seen some Mustang GT cop cars around, and in my hometown we had a stingray cop car! Drug-seized, it was the dare car.

Japan also has Skyline GTRs for the police. Both the GTRs and RX-7s are modified.

In Switzerland the cops have BMW (5 serie) and in the rich areas for Autobahn chasing they have a couple of Porsches.

Here's a nightmare for you, a Western Australian cop car from a few years ago
nb; this model used 'old faithful' - the much-loved Holden V8:

and what we face today, the standard-issue Chev LS-1 engined 6speed Holden Commodore pursuit car:

I just wanna know what the hell is that device on the hood used for. And please don't tell me it's to deflect bugs coming to the windshield.

Probably a 'negatively charged hyperbolic pulse phased strontium powered anti-Godzilla device'
Forgive me for being so crass as to talk GM in a Mazda post (that's why I hid the photos) but that "miserable design" sells here for less $$ than a gutless 206GTI .. and I know which I'd rather drive/own

The deflector on the hood is probably there to interupt the air flow and keep the wind from ripping off the shit on the roof at high speed.:angryfire

yah its a real car.
like said earlier there is skyline police cars in japan.
but its not the gtr. its the skyline sedan. cops in japan needed a faster car to catch up with people on the highways. they did have evo II and III a couple years but i guess they dont have enough top end speed so they changed to skyline and rx7's. however there are not many rx7 in police disguise.

even thought the police has skylines, they dont chase people racing for fun.
first off they cant make that much power because the skylines they use is the 4 door and its not a gtr.
second they cant make enough power compared to the guys making 600+. it costs too and they dont chase guys in the cars all the time.
in japan they dont really chase cars but has the photoradar or whatever you call those. if a car goes by with a very fast speed, it automatically takes the picture or the front and the back.

I heard in Australia, like the big industrialized cities(Perth, Syndney), they use WRX's?
And the fact of cops using Mazdas, Nissans, or Toyotas is just like our cops using Ford and Chevy
