I HAVE A 98 5.7 SIERRA EXT CAB 4X4, A FEW DAY's ago it started having a problem starting, it took a few time's for it to start, once it started it ran great and after it warmed up it would start fine for the rest of the day, it became worse starting until now it won't start at all. it turns over fine, lots of power, but wont start. i opened the fuel inlet line and the return also, turned the key, fuel came out, i checked spark , so i tried starting fluid, two shots, it tried to start from the fluid, but still wouldnt, i didnt want to keep trying starting fluid. the wires look good, the plugs seem fine.i checked all the fittings and wire connections they all look good and in place. i picked up a new power pack but have not installed it yet. and no codes or check engine light. help me out please, what can i do, i will have to have it towed and it is on the other side of the lake, which is gonna cost a lot. what else can i do before bringing it to the shop? jack

Welcome to AF. Get a fuel pressure gage on the rail and look for 65 psi, first check here.
