So i just went outside to start my truck since i havn't been driving it cus i lost my liscense, and we'll it wouldn't start, i tryed jumping it with my moms caddy and nothing , i even tryed using a jumper pack and still nothing. What noticed is that it sparked a few times while i was using the jumper cable from the "COIL" and i dont know if that is a sign that i need a new coil or possibly there is sumthing else wrong? But all it does it start to crank but it just wont turn over, and everythign turns on there isn't any visual loss of battery power at all that i can see so i dont know what to think.

ANY HELP?

I had a similar problem when buying my 1990 sierra c1500. I bought a new ECM for just over $100 and it started up great. Now i'm having more problems, the truck will turn over and run for a second before stalling out. I can keep it running by flooring it, but it wants to stall the whole time.

We'll the truck has just been sitting and a few months back the coil gave me some problems and i guess it was arcking out or somthing of that nature. So i was told by my mechanic to buy a new coil when i get the money, yesterday i orderd new caps/rotor, new plugs, and wires and a coil through jegs. The coil was sparking out pretty bad so i really think it might just be the coil. If it doesn't work then i will get the ecu tested to make sure it isn't that, i just couldn't see it going out after it's been sitting for a few months now just being started regularly.

But i will keep you updated.

Thanks for the help.
