Front pass. side window

My Mom has an 02 Sonata. The front/pass. side window goes down but not up. It is stuck open about 1/2 an inch. I had her hold the switch in the up position and I tried to pull it up but I had no luck. Does this sound like the regulator or motor. I've done many things on cars before but have never done messed with windows. I know I have to pull the door card off that's the easy part. Or should I just have the dealer do it? THANKS FOR ANY HELP.

Sounds like the regulator, which is kinda common on those cars. For the right front, part # 82404-38011. List is $39.00. I can do $29.00 plus shipping. I do have one in stock if you need it.

Don't know what I need yet. I haven't had a chance to check it out yet, thank you though. Are those hard to change? Do I have to hold the window up with anything or do you just let it down all the way? Thanks.

Thought I would share what I found, even if it is years later, it may help someone.
MY RF pass window motor had a bad connection in the plug. I tightened it with a sharp tool, pinching in the metal socket in the harness mounted plug. I tore it completely apart to see brushes, internal connections and everything. It was really well made, so I was surprised it was just the connector.

Well the connector messed up again, so I just spliced the wires directly, soldered and heat shrink tubing, problem cured, it is a poor design, as most electrical connectors are... Never could figure out why they don't pay attention when they make a connector. Need to talk to the boys at Amphenol, and see the "MS" connectors...
