replacing wheel hubs/tie rods

I took my '00 gtp in for an alignment and after a few minutes the guy comes out to show me whats really wrong with it. I need new bearings on the left and right wheels, a tie rod for the left and possibly the right. Also, new bushings for the right lower control arm, but I was aware of that already. And the bushings can be replaced without replacing the entire control arm, correct?

I looked up on how to replace the hub assembly and it looks pretty straight forward. Would the tie rod be any more difficult?

I figure I'm looking at about $400 in parts for all this.

Inner tie rods are usually beyond the DIY'ers skill level, as it requires special tools and such. Outer tie rods are straight forward. Count the number of turns to take the old one off, and turn the new on on the same number. That will get the alignment close enough to drive to the shop. Control arm bushings are simple and can be done with the arm stil on the car. I did both fronts on my wifes Trans-Sport van in less than an hour. An air hammer is your best friend for driving the old ones out, and tap the new ones in by hand.
