Well the etchings came today as mentioned previously. This is what they arrive like - cool huh? There's 6 more just like it!
http://files.automotiveforums.com/uploads/3571612.jpg

This is what the set will include - Enough etched components to make 4 wings, 2 high, 1 medium and 1 small with the possibily to make 2 single and 2 double deck wings. The resin aerofoils are made much longer than needed as the intention is for you guy's to cut to length as required.

The double wing - high;

The single wing - high;

However, i have a problem! Those who saw the prototypes a while back will notice the lower parts that fasten to the car are missing. They have been etched but they don't work, through no fault of my own i might add! the problem is that the parts cannot be folded as planned because of a change in the design as suggested by the etching people in order to overcome a problem we had. So as u can imagine i'm not pleased right now and i'm awaiting to hear from them about what can be done. More delays!!!!!!!!:mad:

Chris, put me down for pre-orders!:D And I was about to make wings out of styrene sheets:p

So the wings won't work without the bottom mount? Good luck dealing with the etching people.:)

Fly, i'll take a pre-order for like 5 of them. Your stuff is the best, way better than the other companies. Do you know how much each kit will cost? I like the idea that you made the wing section longer than needed. How will you most likely get payments from people? And just one more question, When man, when will they be ready????

I'm thinking around £8.50 - 1637yen - $13.30

That's just over £2 a wing!!!:D And about the same price as a S27 decal set and one of their better etched detail sets.

What do u think?

Chris,

Any chance you can do the missing mounting parts in resin instead ?

The wings are looking great, I'm interested in getting a couple of sets !

BTW, I'm Flash/Shockwave impaired, does the scaleautostyle.com site have
a Flash-free entrance ?

Thanks,
-- Eric.

They're far too small to recreate in resin and less realistic.

The site will be flash free - for now!

Hmm £8.50 does that include p&p? Only joking!!
Chris the stuff you're producing looks fan-bloody-tastic and I can foresee us all spending a lot of money with you!

Are they going to be packaged as S.A.S products or as FOTW products?
Also have you got any more info on wheels? will you be making/supplying them?
