Can I beat a 2000 Saleen Mustang(sc) stock? No, but what modifications are going to get me there?

if ur talking about a GTP... you're going to need very extensive mods... off the top of my head i'd say you need to start with full exhaust (headers downpipe cat-back) cold air... intercooler (so you can drop drastically in pulley size) much smaller pulley... PCM tune... some internal engine mods (rockers, cams...) plus all the little things, colder plugs, t-stat... the list goes on and on and on. On top of all this, with all the added HP you'd prolly be looking at having to switch transmissions as well

Basicly it's going to cost thousands of dollars to get it done and even when you do, you're looking at a mid 12 cesond car, which might not even be enough to take out the mustang... go buy another car.

with all the supporting mods plus rockers and an intercooler and 3.0 pulley, and a good tune he will be able to take a saleen. with all those mods and good tires he will be able to be high 11's. but the key is a very good tune after those mods.

agreed... too bad he just threw all drivability and economy out the window... and we're just talking straight line, i dont think it would be possible to outdue a saleen on the track.

wow... not true if u visit clubgp.com their are several ppl with gp's as DAILY DRIVERS and only vehicles in the 12's and 11's and a few in the 10's, so do some research
